Advantages of In-Home Pet Sitting
For Your Pet: Pets are creatures of habit and feel most secure in their own homes. In-home pet care eliminates most of the stress your pets may experience when they are away from their family, have a change in feeding routines, or are exposed to new or loud surroundings. Also, if you have other pets that are difficult to board, such as birds, fish, or reptiles, an in-your-home pet sitter is the solution.
For You: Petsitting can be a safer, more convenient, and more economical alternative to kennels, especially if you have multiple pets and transporting them is difficult.  As an added bonus, we water your plants and give your home that "lived-in" look while you're away. You can truly relax, knowing that Pet au Pair petsitters are fully insured and bonded to cover your property and pets.

Our Committment
We are committed to caring for your pets as if they were our own. We pledge to continually increase our animal knowledge and training so that we can be of greater service to our clients and our community.

About Us
Pet au Pair of New Orleans was founded by Kelly B. Jason, a life-long animal advocate and caretaker. She is devoted to creating the world she wants to live in, a world in which all life is treated with compassion and respect. She has volunteered her time and energy to wildlife refuges, zoos, and animal sanctuaries around the country. Locally, she exhibited reptiles, birds, and mammals at Audubon Zoo and educated visitors on wildlife conservation. She also acted as the adoption counselor for Spaymart, a local no-kill cat sanctuary, and was privileged to help feed, medicate, transport, and provide clean pens for 300 shelter cats.
After 20 years of working in publishing, she realized that being of service to animals was her true calling. She started Pet au Pair of New Orleans to do what she's most enjoyed doing for three decades: lovingly taking care of the world's animals, whether they be strays, pets, or wildlife. You can expect professionalism, safety, and compassion when you hire a Pet au Pair petsitter. Kelly lives in the lower Garden District with her cats Kilo and Momo the Penguin. She is also the pet correspondent for the New Orleans edition of The Examiner.com.
